Biography - Carolyn Kley Fanning
Soroptimist
After graduating from The University of Michigan School of Business in 1986, Carolyn began working as a staff CPA with the international public accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney in Boston and Chicago. While at E&W, Carolyn’s clients included The United Way, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Research and The Moody Bible Institute. Carolyn returned to The University of Michigan in 1989 and received her MBA in marketing strategy and international business in 1991.
Following graduation, Carolyn joined the Estate Planning staff of Hillsdale College in Michigan where she published a number of articles related to charitable giving in the estate planning process. At Hillsdale, Carolyn coordinated hundreds of Charitable Remainder Trusts, Gift Annuity and Pooled Income arrangements. She also presented over 50 estate planning seminars to more than 1,000 potential donors. In 1999, Carolyn founded Planned Giving Solutions, Inc to assist conservative organizations with their long-range fundraising efforts.
Carolyn has been active in civic, performing and professional organizations throughout her career as an officer and a volunteer. She is currently a member of Rotary International, Republican Women Federated, the Independent Women’s Forum and the Conservative Women’s Network.
Carolyn resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband, Michael and their young son, Gregory.
